One Day, Two Luverne Section Baseball VictoriesThe Luverne Cardinal baseball team came out the winner Saturday after hosting the first round of section playoffs for four teams. I have photos from both games in the gallery. GAME 1 & GAME 2. The weather made it seem like two different days. Game one against St. James was played under typical Minnesota spring-like conditions of cold, wind and intermittent rain but that didn't seem to bother the undefeated Luverne team. Brent Dinger's two hit, one run pitching performance led Luverne to a 11-1 win in the 6th inning. The second game in the afternoon against Pipestone was held on a glorious spring day with light winds and temperatures in the lower 70s. Pitcher Phil Paquette must have had a bet with Dinger that he could beat his morning performance since Paquette went five innings giving up only one hit and no runs for a 10-0 Cardinal win. I must thank Randy Ehlers for the invitation to photograph Luverne Baseball. I have really enjoyed getting to know the athletes of the class of 2009 and I wouldn't have been able to get this photo without that invitation. Thanks Zach, Phil and Brent and the other great athletes from LHS '09. It's been fun watching all these years and a special privilege to photograph football and now baseball. I wish you all the best.
Luverne Baseball WinHow windy was it? If Zack Clark's flying hat is any indication, very! The wind didn't stop the Luverne Baseball team from finishing out their regular season 20-0 with a win over MCC. Photos from Tuesday's game are in the Myhre Web Gallery. The first round of playoffs start Saturday in Luverne against St. James.
LHS Class of 2009Congratulations to the Luverne High School Class of 2009. Graduation day is 6 weeks away but it looks like they are ready to be done now. This is a great class. I've gotten to know quite of few individuals from '09 and I can see many future leaders. Just remember the little people, OK? By the way, this isn't the "official" class photograph but it is a lot of fun. Click here for a bigger version.
2010 Senior ModelsThis year's senior models are now on the MyhreSeniors.com web site. My models help me get geared up for the upcoming senior portrait season. It's great time to try out new locations and photographic techniques. Each model has a model portfolio. If you know her, ask to see her portfolio. She also has a model card, similar to a business card, that has an offer worth $45 if you get your senior portraits taken at Myhre Studio.

Portraits with Santa at Winterfest
We're doing photos with Mr. & Mrs. Claus this Saturday, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Luverne Elementary School Commons during Luverne's Winterfest Celebration. The cost for the session and a print is a $10 donation to S.H.A.R.E., the local non-profit organization that collects food, toys and clothing for Rock County families in need around the holidays. The background, designed by local artist Carol Ceynowa, will be similar to last year's. Please join us in supporting S.H.A.R.E.
